I’m going to be making some changes. Creating new categories, and deleting a lot. Sorry if some things become broken or inaccessible.
The Importance of Story.

There was a snippet from Shawn Schuster and Sera’s TERA review that I started to focus on recently.
“They’re working hard to eliminate any traces of grind and beef up the game’s lore for that Western audience.”
Think about that for a moment. They talk about two things: eliminating a feeling of grinding, and adding, or creating a larger story. Perhaps I latched onto this, in lieu of my recent posts about Runes of Magic’s lore. I believe there is a definite cut-off where story adds as much to a game as any mechanic ever could. Lore, in a sense, is a game mechanic. It can be a very important part of game play. Even after any perceived cut-offs, we still reach a point where that story mechanic plays an integral role, even if it’s not being thrown into the players face.
